In 1966 Mrs. MaeDella Rollins Founded Rollins Realty, and after almost 30 years of success in the business, health problems forced her retirement. The company was originally housed at NE 50th & Westminster in a building that Mrs. Rollins owned in NE Oklahoma City. She eventually moved the business to her home in the Park Estates area where it was housed until she became ill. Mrs. Rollins died in July of 1995.
In an effort to continue the business her mother had started, Jacquelyn D. Rollins obtained her brokers license, and took the rains in 1990. Giving up her career in police work, Jacque went full time in the business, and cared for her mother. She worked from the living room of her home that was furnished with used furniture a computer, and one phone line. With determination and drive, Jacque was able to continue the fine traditions in real estate sales that had been so important to her mother. Jacque admits that although she obtained a license in 1978, she hadn’t spent much time actually learning the business. Numerous times I thought “Oh I wish Mother could answer just a simple question for me, if only I had paid more attention”!
Jacquelyn admits that although there were some rough times, she always had faith that the business would succeed, and that Rollins could return to the community the many blessings the company had received from it.
With an experienced staff Rollins offers a full range of Real Estate services which includes: residential, land, and commercial real estate sales, property management, and new construction. There are plans underway that expand services to include educational seminars for first time buyers on home ownership, and senior citizens retirement planing, as well as other real estate relates workshops.
